Dr Chris James BDS FFGDP(UK) MGDS RCS (Eng) DGDP (UK) - also Brigadier retired - is now part of the team at Lyme Bay Dentistry. Chris James was Britain’s most senior armed forces dentist - and is still among the best qualified at any level.

He was formerly Director of Defence Dentistry with responsibilities covering all three of Britain’s armed forces and he believes that his training and experience are the defining influences of his life. Chris James, who also has three major postgraduate qualifications, is now a member of the Faculty Board for General Dental Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons where he represents the South West Division.

Joining the team at LBD gives Chris the opportunity to work once again with people and to do the job he loves. "I believe I interact with people in a very positive and productive way," he says, "but I was becoming bogged down with administrative work in the military which is not what I trained to do."

Chris wants to work with local people in the town he loves and to practice the work he is so eminently well trained to do.
