If you’re missing more than one tooth, there are a number of options available to you at Lyme Bay Dental & Implant Clinic. In some cases a single implant can support two replacement teeth, or two implants can support a fixed bridge if you have several missing teeth. A bridge is a long-lasting, natural-looking solution which will help preserve the health of the rest of your teeth and jaw.

Same day teeth is a process at Lyme Bay Dental & Implant Clinic where patients can have implants placed and fully functioning teeth attached in the space of one day. With the latest technological advances, it is possible to remove a tooth and place an implant immediately into the extraction socket.

Originally from Nottingham, Dr. Matthew Paterson qualified at Birmingham University in 2004. He spent 4 years post-graduation providing high quality dentistry in the Nottingham and Newark area, when he completed a certificate in Advanced Restorative Dentistry.
In 2008, he decided to move to the beautiful west country and initially chose Somerset as his base. He has recently worked in private practice in the Beaminster area and most recently here at Lyme bay Dental and Implant Clinic where he has been practicing since 2014.
In 2018 Matthew completed a masters degree in Dental Implantology at the University of Bristol. Matthew was awarded with a merit award and earned a distinction grade for his final year dissertation project. Matthew has felt privileged to develop his theoretical and academic knowledge whilst enhancing his clinical experience of placing implants at Lyme Bay Dental and Implant Clinic.
Matthew shares the vision of Lyme Bay Dental and Implant Clinic and Portman Dental, where he will continue to strive to provide high standards of dentistry. He is frequently told he has a knack for putting nervous patients at ease and is a self-proclaimed perfectionist where his work is concerned.
Matthew is a member of the British Dental Association (BDA), the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI).
Matthew currently lives in Somerset with his wife, two young children and their beloved black Labrador.
His main passions are providing high quality dentistry, rugby, cooking and enjoying the fantastic great outdoors that the south west area provides.
